There are many factors involved in wedding ceremonies. One important aspect of a wedding ceremony is the attire worn by the bride, groom and bridal party. In general, the groom and groomsmen wear tuxedos because weddings are either black tie, or formal events. In addition, bridesmaids generally wear gowns that match. 
In most cases, the dresses are all the same color, but they may not always be the exact same dress. The bride and groom generally choose the color of bridesmaids dresses according to the season in which the wedding takes place. However, they may choose any color they wish. 
The bride’s wedding dress is generally very fancy. In addition her wedding dress is likely to be long in length and either white or off white. Brides taking part in their first wedding, are likely to wear white. Whereas brides taking place in a second marriage will likely wear off white. 
In reality, brides can wear whatever color they choose, but black is usually discouraged as it signifies mourning in many cultures. In addition, some cultures offer variations on the wedding dress, such as length and color. In fact, brides in some cultures, change their dresses for different portions of the ceremony.
Wedding dresses are often different in varying cultures. In some places, a wedding dress may be filled with colors to celebrate the richness of marriage. However, many cultures favor a white wedding dress.The bride’s wedding dress will generally be very ornate. Some wedding dresses include details such as beading and lace. In some cases, there are few details and in others, wedding dresses are covered in many ornate details, such a beaded flowers, or patterns. 
In addition, lace can commonly be found on a wedding dress. Because of the modesty associated with wedding dresses, the dresses are generally very long. In fact, some wedding dresses include a train, or a length of fabric that trails behind the dress. In some societies, it is traditional for the bride to wear her mother’s wedding dress, or mother-in-laws dress for the ceremony. 
Many times, families pass down such items to signify a close family bond, or to remember family members who will not be there for the event, due to death or distance. Variations on the wedding dress can be found in many cultures. In Indian and Japanese cultures, the wedding dress is generally long, slim and colorful. In fact, brides often have several wedding dresses that she will wear during the ceremony.
Like other parts of the marriage ceremony, wedding dresses are often chosen at the discretion of the couple. In many cases, there are not strict rules for what is appropriate unless it is dictated by religion or culture. In fact, what was acceptable in recent history, has changed with the times and societies expectations. 
Brides generally have the most fancy and ornate attire at the ceremony. In fact, it is always quite obvious which individual is the bride. However, the bride often has discretion on the dress she chooses. In some cases, the wedding dress is a family heirloom and in others it is hand made for the bride. In any case, wedding dresses are beautiful and cherished.
